Stats About Taking CBE Classes
One study followed 14,000 people who gave birth over a 3 year period. 30% of them had taken a childbirth ed class and 12% had a birth plan.
Those who attended the class were about 25% more likely to have a vaginal delivery than those who didn't. People with a birth plan were almost twice as likely to avoid c-section.
Things don't always go as planned. Being prepared for the unexpected can increase confidence and even help manage expectations. Childbirth education also positively impacts breast/chest feeding
Childbirth education can potentially change how pain is perceived during labor, but only 1 in 3 expecting families take a childbirth education class.
